IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roy Lee
McGuire
October 10, 1957 – December 23, 2025
Roy Lee McGuire, known to all as "Ricky," graced this world with his presence on October 10, 1957, born to the loving arms of Minnie L. McGuire and Thomas Williams. From his earliest days, Ricky was a beacon of kindness, touching the lives of those around him with his generous spirit and heartfelt laughter.
Ricky's formative years unfolded within the nurturing environment of the Newton County School System, where he became known for his open heart and willingness to lend a hand. He cherished family above all, always prioritizing their needs, a testament to his unwavering love and devotion. Whether it was enjoying the thrill of a softball game or passionately cheering for his favorite wrestlers from the sidelines, Ricky embraced life with a joyful exuberance that inspired those fortunate enough to know him.
The Knox Chapel Baptist Church became a sanctuary for Ricky, where he found peace and purpose. As the leader of the Parking Ministry, he welcomed church members and visitors alike with a warm smile and genuine guidance, embodying the essence of community service in every parking lot greeting.
On December 23, 2025, this devoted husband, father, and friend departed this earthly realm, leaving behind a tapestry of deep love and cherished memories. Ricky’s heart will forever reside with his beloved wife, Debbie Ann McGuire, and his adoring children—Rikki (Courtney) McGuire, April (Des’jon) McGuire, Alvin (Sara) Crutchfield, Joshua Crutchfield, Temesha Crutchfield, and Tylethea King. The legacy of his love will also be carried by his grandchildren, each one a glimmer of joy: Dedrick, Derrica, Kentavious, Maryah, Messiah, Kalani, Rafel, Noah, Damion, Austin, Jamarion, and Teyahna.
Ricky’s spirit is further intertwined with his siblings, Gloria Johnson, Ernestine (Donnie) Hardeman, Mattie King, along with brothers Grady (Lavonne) Crowley, Johnny Crowley, Robert Crowley, Stephenson (Belinda) Crowley, and Ben Smith, Jr. He is also survived by a special nephew, Quintarius Gibbs, as well as a vast extended family of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will keep his memory alive in their hearts.
As we remember Ricky, let us celebrate a soul whose love knew no bounds and whose spirit touched so many. In the hearts of all who knew him, the light of Roy Lee McGuire will forever shine brightly.
